Experiment
E08 Light Bulb and Electrical Power
|
| Objectives |
- Study the variation in resistance with current of a light bulb
- Study the variation in power with current of a light bulb
- Comprehend electrical connections and convert into their equivalent circuits
- Using a network of light bulbs, compare the power consumed by various arrangements of the light bulbs
|
|
| Description |
| In this activity, you will use voltmeter and ammeter to measure the power output of a device. You will also construct a number of networks to investigate the total power output.
In Experiment 1, you will apply different voltages across the light bulb to study how the resistance and power consumption changes.
In Experiment 2, you will study the power consumption when several light bulbs are joined in different ways. |
