Experiment
DL10 Quality of Sound and Harmonics
|
| Objectives |
- Study the pattern of sound from a musical instrument by recording the sound in the Scope display of a data-logger
- Learn to use the advanced tool in analyzing the frequency components of a musical note
- Appreciate the pure note produced by a tuning fork
- Study the relative amplitudes of harmonics of a music note
|
|
| Description |
| In this activity, you will use a Sound Sensor to study the pattern of sound waves from different instrument. You will also use the advanced feature of the software to display the frequency spectrum of the musical notes. Sample rate as high as 10 kHz is necessary in this experiment.
